Problem Fourth grade students are under-performing in both reading and math. Of the 75 students in 4th grade, 66% are performing on grade level on reading MAPs and 54% are performing on grade level on math MAPs.
There are many traditional methods being used to try to increase academic performance such as longer school times and increased homework. Increasing instructional time is not always possible and has not always shown success. Studies have shown that it is possible to increase academic achievement through physical movement throughout the school day.
